  2. Scroll down to check the calendar below for site availability.  Do not prepay before checking calendar.
  3. Fill in the Registration Form and click "Submit"
  4. Return to this page to pre-pay by credit card. Add campsite and extras to your shopping cart and use PayPal's secure checkout. ​No PayPal account required. Please add your name to the payment form so we know which account to credit.  Or send a check (two weeks in advance) to:

  5. If your reservation is received at least 5 days in advance,  our Volunteer Reservationist will email you a confirmation notice of your reservation and payment.

Reservation Guidelines  READ ALL

  • ALL Campsite Reservations must be prepaid in full at least 5 days in advance unless prior arrangements are made.  A campsite cannot be reserved without prepayment, and will not be indicated as reserved.
  • A reservation requested and paid with less than 5 days notice cannot be confirmed and your chosen site may not be available on arrival. 
  • Prepay by credit card using shopping cart.  Sites will not be confirmed without prepayment.  For information, call (530) 409-5515 9:00AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Do not prepay before checking calendar for campground and site availability.
  • Drop-in campers are welcome, but campers with 5 day advanced reservations have priority as indicated by "Reserved" sign on site post.  Payment for drop-ins can be made in Frank's Diner or at the drop box at the kiosk at the entry gate. Fill out the campground fee envelope, and put in the drop box with payment.  Place tear-off on the post at your campsite to confirm payment for Campground Host.  There is a $35 Charge for returned checks.
  • Confirmed Reservations for exclusive use of the entire campground require payment for the first night's stay and must be made at least 90 days in advance.  Full payment is required 30 days in advance of reservation date.  With exclusive use, there are no additional fees for pets or extra vehicles.
  • A minimum of two nights stay is required for reservations of entire campground during holiday weekends.       
  • ​Finnon Lake Campers under age 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian over age 21 during the entire time of their stay.
  • Check in and check out time is 12:00 noon.  Campsites used any time between noon and 6:00 am the following morning will be charged for that night.
  • There are no additional Day Use fees for all registered campers.
  • Prefix "A" sites are for tents, trailers or motor homes; prefix "T" are tent only.
  • All Campsites have tables, campfire rings and pedestal grills, except site T16 which has a grill on the fire ring.  Do not move tables from campsites.
  • There are currently no hookups at the campground. 
  • There are water spigots, and bathrooms have running water and flush toilets.
  • Maximum of 6 persons per campsite - one vehicle plus trailer.  There is a $7.50 charge for extra motor vehicles - maximum of one extra vehicle per site. (Limit does not apply to street-legal motorcycles.                         .                                                             
  • To cancel a campsite reservation for refund, 48 hours notice before noon check-in is required.  A $10 non-refundable cancellation fee will be applied.  No refunds on cancellations with less than 48 hours notification.
  • Dates of arrival or departure may be changed without additional charges with 7 days prior notification and subject to availability. One change is allowed. 
  • To cancel a reservation of the entire campground, 4 weeks notice is required for a refund.  A 10% non-refundable cancellation fee will apply. 
  • Firewood:  $5 per bundle; 8 pieces of wood per bundle.  Firewood may be pre-ordered with the shopping cart, or may be available for sale at Frank's Diner. 
  • Adhere to signs indicating suspension of campfires during fire season.

   Campground Rules and Regulations

  • Use of the facilities is at your own risk.  The management assumes no responsibility or liability for personal injury or property damage.
  • CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT TIME IS 12:00 NOON.  Campsites used any time between Noon and 6:00 AM the following morning will be charged for that night.
  • Access Finnon Lake Recreation Area (FLRA) by Mosquito Road or Rock Creek Road. Trailers and RVs MUST use Rock Creek Road!
  • There is a limit of one extra motor vehicle per campsite.  Fee of $7.50 applies to extra vehicle. Does not apply to street legal motorcycles.
  • Campground parking is limited, and reserved for registered campers only.  Campsites used for Day Use will be charged camping fee.
  • Campfires are permitted only within fire rings. DO NOT move rocks from campfire rings.  DO NOT move tables from campsites.
  • During Fire Season, campfires may be restricted by order of the fire department.  Adhere to signs indicating campfire restrictions.
  • There is limited disposal capability at the campground.  Please do not leave large items like tents, camp chairs or BBQ grills.
  • Campsites used for Day Use may be charged at overnight rate.
  • Campsites containing gear such as tents, tarps, hammocks, kayaks, fishing rods etc. will be considered occupied.  If left overnight will be charged at overnight rate whether persons are present or not.  If such gear is left unattended for 24 hours or more, it will be considered abandoned, and disposed of.
  • Campers under age 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult over age 21 during the entire time of their stay
  • Campers with Exclusive Use of the campgrounds will be required to provide portable toilets if their group exceeds 75 persons.     Portables are available for delivery to Finnon from Placerville at   (530) 622-6169
  • The campground is monitored by MVFA Volunteers, the Mosquito Fire Dept., and the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department.
  • The discharge of any weapon or air powered paintball or pellet gun on Finnon Lake property is prohibited.
  • Finnon Lake is pet friendly.  All dogs are required to be under control at all times, and droppings picked up.                                           Please keep your dog from barking or disturbing others, and never leave them unattended. 
  • There is a zero tolerance policy for any abusive behavior, language or rudeness toward any staff member or guest.
  • MVFA reserves the right to refuse use of the campground to anyone.
  • Finnon Lake Recreation Area is managed and maintained by VOLUNTEERS of the Mosquito/Swansboro community.                        Please respect surrounding private property and wildlife.  DO NOT leave unspooled fishing line on the ground or shore.
  • Campers are responsible to follow all rules and regulations.  Fees are subject to change without notice.
